I have loved and enjoyed the Kapiti Coast all my life after moving here at the age of 4 years. Every day I look out to the Island, and I feel at home. After a couple of years overseas I returned and became addicted to diving.
I joined the Kāpiti Dive Club where we travelled all over NZ to some of the world’s best dive spots and a few overseas. Having a family made diving difficult so now I love the sea from the shore.
I am a Kāpiti resident, business owner and KCDC Councillor, where I can I use these skills to contribute. Being a Trustee of the Guardians of the Kāpiti Marine Reserves keeps me connected to the science and opportunities that we have along with the kaitiakitanga/stewardship of the reserve.
