A member of the three local iwi, I’m a 6th generation Kapiti coaster who has lived here for most of my life. I play a kaitiaki role out at Motungarara Island where I live when I’m not on the mainland.
I love being hands-on and involved with things at the island and out on the water and play an active role in managing and welcoming people into this space. My Whanau also occupy lands at the North end of Kāpiti Island at Waiorua Bay.
I have a background in a variety of professional activities and have also spent the past 20 plus years working in the Kāpiti community on a voluntary basis with youth, drug and alcohol, community development, projects, tourism, environmental issues, local body politics and some input to national politics.
I feel privileged to be involved with this group of talented, intelligent and caring people and I am looking forward to meeting and building relationships and networks with many others.
