Martin has a background in Hospitality, mainly from a Front of House, Management, Business Ownership and Consultation perspective, of over 30years.

A kiwi thru and thru, Martin moved from Wellington to the Kapiti Coast about 13 years ago and love’s it here.

Martin and his wife Dee had a small business at Paraparaumu Beach ( Over the Teacups) for 4 years and became involved in local issues and community support. Martin put his hand up to represent his local community at the KCDC Council table with an eye to using his skill base in a positive way to benefit the community.

He is now the Ward Councillor for Paraparaumu. Martin was a founding trustee of the GoKMR and has been involved and advocated for the Kaupapa since then in different ways, he is also the KCDC councillor appointee for this Group. Awesome things have been achieved by Awesome people.
